Upcoming portrait course by Dave Duffy

We are excited to announce a new upcoming course by Dave Duffy!

Dave hails from Enniscorthy, County Wexford and has gained critical acclaim worldwide for his hyper-realistic portraits & online viral videos. He was invited by Sky Arts take part in their acclaimed “Portrait Artist Of The Year” show. Dave is putting the finishing touches to his first Big Look course on hyper-realistic portraiture.

This course will take students through a very methodical and well structured progression from establishing the grid for the portrait, to laying in the main volume and shadow areas right down to the finest hairline details with some suprising techniques. There are several opportunities built into the course for you to submit your own work and get personalised feedback from Dave on your progress and opportunities to fine tune your technique.

If you are planning to get deep into the fascinating area hyper realism, coloured pencils is a great way to go. Also, this course is just the beginning, Dave is planning regular follow up content on Big Look, to explore all aspects of this unique way of making artwork.
